Information for Authors



Instructions for Final Version of Papers:

Papers can be presented in the official languages of the event: English,
Portuguese or Spanish. We encourage slides and presentations in English,
as we may have some international participants in the event. If one feels
not confortable to present in English, consider preparing you slides in
English.


The final version of papers will be accepted in PDF format only through the JEMS SBC system (https://submissoes.sbc.org.br). The maximum number of pages
for full papers is 10 pages. For short papers , 4 pages. Both full and short
papers will be publised in the conference proceedings.

Paper formatting must strictly follow the SBC guidelines available at this address:  http://www.sbc.org.br/index.php?language=1&subject=60&content=downloads (for papers in English or Spanish) and at this address http://www.inf.ufrgs.br/stil09/sbc_pt.zip (for papers in Portuguese).

According to SBC regulations, authors must submit also a Copyright Transfer
Form (CTF) available from
http://www.sbc.org.br/index.php?language=1&subject=88&content=downloads&id=284

The CTF must be uploaded in the JEMS system by July 31st, and at least one
of the authors must sign.

The authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their papers to a Special Issue of the Linguamática Journal.


Instructions for Posters

As a guideline for poster preparation, we recommend adopting a size of 100cm of height by 70 cm of width.


Instructions for Presentations

The authors of accepted papers will have a slot of 30 minutes at STIL, with 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for questions.

During STIL a computer and a data projector will be available at the venue, accepting .pdf and .ppt files. If you have further requirements, please contact the organizers.
