The Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação (ICMC), the place
where the event will be carried out, is very close to (some blocks away
from) the city bus station.
Airports:
Unfortunately, the city of São Carlos does not have an airport. There
are flights from most airports to the cities of Campinas/SP, Ribeirão
Preto/SP, or São Paulo/SP.
Although São Paulo is a bit more distant from São Carlos (it is a 3
hour trip) than Campinas or Ribeirão Preto, there are frequent buses
all day long betwen São Paulo and São Carlos. So, the best option is to
land at one of the airports of São Paulo, and get a bus from there.
Two bus companies offer the service between São Paulo and São Carlos:
Buses to São Carlos leave from the Tietê bus station. Please ensure
that you are at the right bus station, as the city of São Paulo has
two: Tietê and Barra Funda.
